Spicy Shrimp Cocktail

Serves 2

  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 whole green chili pepper (optional)
  • 2 lbs shrimp, any size, fresh or frozen, peeled, tails intact
  • Maya Kaimal Spicy Ketchup
  • Combine the water, bay leaves, salt, and chili, if using, in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to medium until the water is simmering and add the shrimp.
  • Cook, uncovered, for 2 to 4 minutes depending on the size of the shrimp. Drain the shrimp and let cool.
  • Serve with a bowl of Maya Kaimal Spicy Ketchup for dipping.
