MAYA’S SPICED POMEGRANATE COCKTAIL
A refreshing bittersweet mixer with a hint of sweet spices that tastes great with tonic to make a festive holiday cocktail or mocktail. This two-part recipe makes enough to serve a crowd, but for an individual drink, use one part mixer to one part tonic water over ice.
Yields: 3 cups (enough for 8 drinks)
Mixer
- 2 cups (1 recipe) Kerala Garam Masala Simple Syrup
- 1 cup pomegranate juice (not syrup)
Make the Kerala Garam Masala Simple Syrup, strain and mix with one cup Pomegranate juice let cool to room temperature. Transfer to a bar pitcher and keep chilled until needed.
Spiced Pomegranate Cocktail or Mocktail
- 3 oz Spiced Pomegranate Mixer (above recipe)
- 3 oz Tonic Water as needed (or Setlzer or Club Soda)
- 2 oz Vodka (optional)
- 1 lime wheel or wedge (optional)
- 1 teaspoon pomegranate seeds (optional)
For each drink: Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add the Maya’s Spiced Drink Mixer and Vodka, if using. Top with tonic water and float lime wheel and pomegranate seeds on top.
