ROYAL ICING

Serves 6

  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 2 cups confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond
  •  
  • Beat the meringue powder into the cold water and extract with a hand blender until peaks start to form. Then beat in the powdered sugar until desired consistency. Use to decorate cookies. This icing hardens when exposed to air.
