Tikkis (crispy potato patties) are a popular street food in India. Find them in the frozen section of Indian stores, or substitute with Trader Joe’s Vegetable Masala Burgers. We top this crispy snack with our Chickpea Potato & Warm Spices Everyday Chana, a drizzle of cool yogurt and some crunchy noodles. It’s a feast for the senses!

Serves 4-5

Ingredients

Aloo Tikki:

1 package frozen Aloo Tikki (8-10 potato patties)

Oil, for shallow frying


Assembling the Chaat:

1 package Chickpeas, Potato & Warm Spices Organic Everyday Chana

1/2 cup plain whole milk yogurt, whisked with a pinch of salt and sugar

2 tbsp chopped cilantro

½ cup pomegranate seeds

½ tsp sweet paprika

Optional garnish: ¼ cup sev noodles.


Preparation

Aloo Tikki:
Step 1
Heat oil in a skillet for shallow frying.

Step 2
Remove Aloo Tikki from their package and shallow fry until golden brown, according to package directions. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Assembling the chaat:
Step 1
Heat the Everyday Chana according to the instructions on the package.

Step 2
Arrange the fried aloo tikkis on a platter and spoon over the heated Chana.

Step 3
Dollop on the yogurt, sprinkle with cilantro, pomegranate, sweet paprika and sev noodles. Serve immediately.
