CHESTNUTS AND GHEE

  • 1/2 lb chestnuts
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • Green Chilies 
  • Maldon Sea Salt
  1. Cut each chestnut in half lengthwise then put in pot and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and cook until the chestnut meat is tender, about 10 minutes. Drain well. Heat a skillet and add about 4 tablespoons ghee.
  2. Add the chestnuts and saute until nicely browned and pulling away form the shells.
  3. Garnish with chopped chilies and herbs and Maldon Sea Salt, if you like.
  4. To eat, fork out the nutmeat and enjoy warm!
